Chapter 4: Sanctuary (S01E04)

With this performance, Baby Yoda is bound to have a spin-off. In terms of concept, it’s beginning to remind me of Firefly. Flying this way and that, dealing with problems western style. Episode four borrows heavily from the Magnificent Seven. The great AT-ST action, warrior training and humorous interludes with the baby all score an A grade. Favreau is a blessing for Star Wars. Nice chase with the AT-ST, which looks like a creepy mix of a Tyrannosaurus and a Tripod here. That's all there was to it though, unfortunately. (30.11.2019)

The plot was a bit weak. Trying to do their own take on The Magnificent Seven with just two people? Not the best move. And that whole training session with the villagers? Come on. Although, I have to give it to those war veterans – punching through stuff that usually stands up to blasters? Impressive. (05.02.2020)

Kind of a relaxing rural episode. An interesting new world and a “Star-Wars” fight with a robot. Otherwise, a bit cliché including the predictable twist. (23.02.2020)
