angielski When little Billy finds something he should have either thrown away or kept for himself and gives it to the sheriff honestly, he unwittingly brings deadly danger upon himself, his mother and her boyfriend. A thriller with several suspenseful scenes, the first being the exploration of the RV. Then there's a fair amount of fluctuating tension that escalates in the last quarter hour. It originally looked like a variation on Home Alone, but Billy turns out to be pretty dumb. There are a couple of kills that are oddly more believable on the old VHS copy than on the newly restored one, and one impaling on an agave that I'm not sure would have worked that way, but it was effective. The mother, however, was just made into a screaming fool. The music is nerve-wracking in places. Okay for one viewing, but probably only for fans of the 80s today and maybe not all of them yet. 2.5* ()

angielski The American film Death Valley has a fairly classic slasher storyline that is not very surprising overall, which is quite a shame, because at the beginning it almost felt like it could have been imaginative. In the end, it's only Billy that holds the film together and makes you at least worry about him, if nothing else. The film boldly descends almost into mediocrity, but the finale saves it in the end.
