(Forum Film PL)

angielski I don’t know why I was wary of The Incredibles before watching it, and I successfully avoided it for a long time. But then I could no longer resist, reached for the VHS and had a royally good time!!! I'm glad to see that even from a premise revolving around real life (even if only very distantly), you can conjure up such a funny and incredibly entertaining action-packed spectacle. And I had that impression not only after the first screening, but also after the second and then after the third! And that alone, of course by my standards, is an example of bulletproof quality. 100% ()

angielski A beautiful homage to super-hero comics and Bond films and a visual juggernaut all in one. The animated characters are really acting, you can see the whole range of human emotions in their faces. (God, where is this technology going? I can see a movie trailer in a couple of years for maybe a comedy starring Ben Stiller, Mr. Incredible and a rendered Marilyn Monroe) The animation is excellent, the water actually looks like water, Vi and Elasti-girl's hair occasionally flutters so adorably in the wind, and... and anyway, I don't want to get into any glorified odes here. In terms of screenwriting, The Incredibles may not be as emotionally gripping as Finding Nemo, but it's a great show. I'm very happy for Brad Bird's success and the satisfaction of flopping with The Iron Giant. A little poll before closing: Who was your favorite superhero? For me, it was the incredibly cool Frozone voiced by Samuel L. Jackson, I’m glad I didn’t see him dubbed... ()

angielski It is good that Pixar tackled an unusual theme for an animation in their most anticipated project, but the partial parody and tribute to superheroes remains somewhat half-finished. The oft-cited aspects of the scene around the dinner table or action on the jet are fine, but you can already anticipate them from the trailer. Unfortunately, in my eyes, Pixar did not pull this off, and I found neither a family atmosphere or a reason to admire it. Slow, predictable, and despite the relatively relaxed characters and plot, too easily forgettable. ()

angielski The Incredibles is a typical animated hit focused on the widest audience possible, primarily intended for American viewers who are well acquainted with comic book culture. Those who grew up on Spiderman, Batman, and other superheroes will enjoy the film, but other viewers won't be left out either. Overall impression: 75%. ()

angielski To be honest, I don't really understand the big hype surrounding this movie. I think we've had the privilege of seeing funnier, more apt animated films. The Incredibles isn't nearly as amazing as it could have been, yet the film belongs to the wider elite of the genre. From my point of view, especially the style they copied from the classic adventure films of the 1960s, and which is powered by Michael Giacchino's phenomenal soundtrack, proudly claiming the swing feeling of John Barry's unforgettable works (007 fans know who I'm talking about ;o)). Otherwise, The Incredibles offers a slightly readable plot with a villain who hides his secret in a volcano (have I seen this before?) and plays a rather funny game with a family of superhumans who are not allowed to show their abilities, which, of course, bothers them greatly. But the joke of this "masquerade" is somewhat drowned in a lot of family dialogues that have no spark, and after a few minutes they start to annoy slightly. Fortunately, the film picks up a very decent pace after a while, the animators outdo themselves, the action performances of the main protagonists glue you to your seat, and the frantic retro-flavored ride successfully reaches the finish line. It's not that courageous, it's a bit repetitive, some of the supporting characters are excellent (especially the eccentric tinkerer Edna, that would be the equivalent of Mr. Q.?), others somewhat tasteless, some scenes are great, others are a little faint, but overall it serves a purpose – it entertains and it just can't disappoint fans of old spy films. Still, I'm telling you, the top Bond movies were much funnier without the elastic heroes and beaters with the power of a steam engine. If there's one thing I can attribute The Incredibles, it's the ease with which the film was able to bring deadly serious elements and "real" "acted" tension to a cute animated film. Perhaps this film will become a pioneer of another line that will be associated with the trend of CGI films and create... what, actually? ()
