A slow start with just enough ambiguity to keep you guessing—are we watching a good film about a bad film? It toys with that uncertainty for a while, and it’s oddly enjoyable. The question of whether those bad actors are good actors slides seamlessly from form into content. And then things pick up. A sharp exploration of consent, guilt, and punishment in the post-#MeToo era, where everything personal is amplified by social media and the intensity of public opinion.
