Unmei janai hito

Over a long Friday evening, Takeshi Miyata, a respectable businessman, will encounter a number of people (some only fleetingly) with intertwining fates. Six months down the line Miyata has still not recovered from the sentimental break up with his girlfriend, Ayumi. He is lured from his apartment on receiving a call from his childhood friend and detective, Yusuke Kanda, who mentions Ayumi's name. (San Sebastian International Film Festival)
