A bald-headed behemoth with a forearm tattoo and gently sensitive soul is the main protagonist of Jan Cvitkovic's successful short debut. It follows a young, lonely butcher whose name remains concealed, in the melancholy of his fixed daily routine – working at a slaughterhouse, coming back home, heating a can of beans, with musical hits as his only companion. One day, a young woman sits next to him during his regular bus journey, and the absent-minded smile she gives him touches his heart. Will he see her again? Will he gather the courage to address her? The gentle, subtle romance in an accurate miniature about loneliness and desire for love is a purely cinematic narration without dialogue. (Febiofest)
