This might be the first film featuring Les Charlots that I saw as a kid. If you need to relax and switch off for 80 minutes, there's no better comedy than this. The barrage of jokes is incredible, and they don’t even need to speak — the visuals do all the talking. Claude Zidi teaming up with Les Charlots was the best thing that could have happened to them. Compared to the first part, it's definitely an improvement, as there is something that can be called a story in Stadium Nuts. Or rather, a plot. There are tons of gags and the whole thing is very pleasantly silly this time. During the preparations for the torch-lighting, I was most amused by the part with the modern statue, which Les Charlots of course destroyed and made a completely different one, and when the sporting began later, such irresistible chaos broke out that it was impossible not to have fun.
