The Nomads

Based on a true story, The Nomads follows a North Philadelphia school district faced with a massive budget deficit, leading to the unprecedented decision by the School Reform Commission to close over 20 public schools. With thousands of students and teachers displaced and merged together, a teacher starts a boys rugby team to provide an outlet for her students. Without any resources and against the odds of their inner-city environment, the team becomes a staple program and beacon of hope within the community. (Napa Valley Film Festival)
