A contrived drama that wastes words and squanders its characters. At least now I will more appreciate the freely flowing, non-derivative films of Eric Rohmer, who is mentioned here. 55%

Very nice and sad picture with a pleasant musical element. Unlike most of the cast, I would like to highlight the acting performance of Elsa Zylberstein, who is an equally talented acting partner with Kristin Scott Thomas, if not even more heartfelt. A strong theme for contemplation, Philippe Claudel confirms his reputation as a great storyteller.
