German doctor Simon is missing from his current home in Marseilles. His mother Valerie, who hasn't heard from him in a while, travels to France where she meets his ex-lover Jens, hoping that he'll be able to help her find him. Together they search through Simon's abandoned apartment, watch his home videos and go through his personal photographs, struggling to find a clue to his disappearance. She suspects that something bad might have happened, and a few hints point to Simon going off on a strange trip to Morocco. Talking to his colleagues or people who were in contact with him recently, the unlikely pair is left with little certainty. Both Valerie and Jens have to start questioning their own relationship to Simon, and how much they really know him. (Febiofest)
