In 1950s Tuscany, Verena (Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke), a young nurse, is hired by the steward of a grand manor to help his young boy who is suffering severe trauma over the death of his mother. He is utterly silent, unable or unwilling to make a sound. As Verena begins her work, she starts to notice strange goings-on, and fears that the family castle is possessed by a malevolent force that threatens everyone inside its walls. Based on the acclaimed Italian novel La voce della pietra by Silvio Raffo. (Minneapolis-St. Paul International Film Festival)

In the end, it's actually a poignant, romantic, slightly erotic thriller that sometimes even tries to hint at having a slightly horror atmosphere, but only occasionally and really just lightly. The camera wants to tell us that Emilia Clarke is really interesting, but here she just isn't. Except for the nudity. And that's not enough, is it? She also does that elsewhere. ()
