The Suspicious Death of a Minor has elements of giallo brutality, but above all, it's an excellent crime story with great revelations and ideas that keep you engaged until the last minute. The film surprised me by being moderately restrained in its brutality, but it makes up for it with an interesting screenplay and very good directorial handling of the story, all the way to the very end. Sergio Martin should definitely not be forgotten. ()
Well, this was a weird film. So oddly straddling the line between Giallo, police drama and slapstick car chase comedy, I'm not sure Martino took the right approach. In any case, Claudio Cassinelli, with his messy haircut, is very likeable, and his investigative methods strongly recall the unorthodox methods of Belmondo's Stan Borowitz. I almost wouldn't be surprised if there was some later inspiration. ()
