Albert is head over heels in love with Johana, his best friend's haughty sister. A fairy godfather grants him one wish, which begs a tricky question – how to use it best? It might bring him the girl of his heart, it might reconcile his quarreling parents. But the son of a rich hotel owner is after Albert's magic wish as well and will do anything to claim it for himself. This poetic Christmas film for the whole family discusses the various forms of love. (Finále Plzeň)

Normally I avoid family films like the plague, but this time I didn't succeed. I'm not entirely sure what the target audience was. The story was so weird that I just couldn't figure it out. I suppose it was intended for parents and children, but teenagers would think it was lame and pathetic, and I’m not quite sure about the younger ones... The only thing that amused me was the puffy gazelle. ()
One star for Vítězslav Jandák, who is somewhat a parody of himself. I expected something completely different and not a wild childish chase for wishes in stylized and overcombined timelessness. Very unsuccessful with minimal positive moments. And I didn't have a particularly strong feeling that it was a Christmas story. ()
