Anno 117: Pax Romana is the eighth main part of the very popular series of city builder type economic strategies from Ubisoft. The game was developed by the Ubisoft Blue Byte studio, which oversees the brand.
As the title suggests, Anno 117: Pax Romana takes us to the 2nd century AD. The game allows us to take on the role of a Roman governor who, having control over the province of Lazio (today's central Italy) or the Celtic land of Albion (former name of modern England), must govern them as he sees fit. We may strive for economic growth, focus on diversity and adopt Celtic traditions, or introduce a strong hand rule and spread Roman culture in the territories under the control of our empire.
Like the previous parts of the series, Anno 117: Pax Romana does not focus on fighting wars and conquests, but on building and taking care of our subjects. The wide range of options related to the former has been enriched with the possibility of erecting impressive aqueducts. We can also take care of our citizens by organizing spectacles in coliseums, among which naumachia (spectacular representations of naval battles with the participation of real ships) are leading.
