De-Exit: Eternal Matters
A combination of a TPP platformer, a puzzle game, an adventure game and a stealth game. In De-Exit: Eternal Matters we play as a deceased person ending up in the Plane of Memory after death, tasked with saving it from a threat brought upon by its treacherous guardian.
DE-EXIT: Eternal Matters is a combination of a 3D platformer, a puzzle game, an adventure game and a stealth game. It was developed by the independent SandBloom Studio and published by HandyGames.
Plot
DE-EXIT: Eternal Matters takes place in the afterlife, more specifically on the Plane of Memory - where the game's protagonist ends up after death to enjoy a new, peaceful life. That's at least how it should've gone, but recently the place has changed beyond recognition. The Plane of Memory is in grave danger, as once of its guardians rebelled and brought forward dark forces. The protagonist is tasked with dealing with the threat and bringing back order. With no other choice, the main character embarks on a journey through the Plane, trying to restore peace.
Mechanics
The gameplay of DE-EXIT: Eternal Matters is shown from the third-person perspective (TPP); although the camera sometimes shifts into set cinematic angles. While traversing the Plane of Memory we jump onto platforms, avoid traps and obstacles as well as solve creative puzzles. Enemies hinder us during our travels; the protagonist cannot fight them, instead being forced to sneak around them. Fortunately, not every inhabitant of the afterlife is hostile; we'll also encounter many helpful NPCs who'll support us and share valuable information.
Technical aspects
DE-EXIT: Eternal Matters distinguishes itself from other, similar games with its visuals. The entire game was made using voxels and then enhanced with advanced visual effects, such as dynamic lighting.
