Dying Light: The Beast is a spin-off of a series of action games with RPG elements, set in a world taken over by the living dead. This game initially started as an add-on to Dying Light 2: Stay Human, but over time grew so much that it became a standalone project. It was developed by the Polish studio Techland.
Plot
The main character of Dying Light: The Beast is Kyle Crane, known from the first part of the series and its add-on The Following. After 13 years of brutal experiments, the protagonist regains his freedom and plans to take revenge on his tormentors. The hunt for the latter leads him to Castor Woods, once swarming with tourists, now serving as an arena for various factions and hordes of zombies. As if that wasn't enough, a powerful beast is prowling here and because of it no one can sleep peacefully.
Gameplay
In Dying Light: The Beast we view the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). The game provides us with an open world, where we will find both wild and rural areas, as well as industrial complexes. Kyle can move around on foot, using parkour skills to overcome off-road obstacles, and behind the wheel of an off-road vehicle.
While exploring Castor Woods, the protagonist, who is a hybrid of a human and a zombie, meets its inhabitants and performs quests for them, collects increasingly better equipment and modifies the already owned gear (thanks to an extensive crafting system), and also faces hordes of enemies. Crane's path is obstructed by both hostile people and monsters.
As is standard for the series, during the day the hero is a hunter who can move around the environment relatively freely and eliminate hordes of enemies using his deadly powers and weapons. After dark, the living dead grow stronger, and Kyle becomes their prey, forcing him to hide or run away more often.
Game modes
In Dying Light: The Beast we can play alone or in online multiplayer mode for up to 4 people.

Dying Light: The Beast was made available for free to all owners of the Ultimate Edition of Dying Light 2: Stay Human.
