EcoGnomix
EcoGnomix is an unusual strategy, combining city builders with roguelikes. Our first job is to build a gnome village on top of a system of caves. After that we must send expeditions deep underground, hoping to find resources and trying to avoid hostile creatures.

EcoGnomix is a game from the German studio Irox Games. It combines city builder strategy gameplay with roguelike elements. Building a gnome village goes hand in hand with exploring dungeons, all in a turn-based system on hexagonal maps.
Plot
EcoGnomix does not have an extensive story. In the fantasy world of gnomes, there is a legend that a hidden treasure lies at the bottom of a network of caves. To get there, however, one must face starving bats stealing supplies, three-eyed chickens, or trees throwing lightning bolts. Small creatures build a village and venture deeper and deeper underground.
Gameplay
We construct a gnome settlement on the surface by placing appropriate objects and creating production chains. The aim of our economy is to equip our expedition teams with food that will serve as nourishment for the bats present in the network of caves (otherwise the bats will feed on the dwarfs).
After going underground we keep choosing a path, cave after cave. Each cave has a different structure, which requires to be thoughtful in the context of choosing a specific class of gnomes. We can find resources, treasures and enemies (including bosses). The number of actions per turn is limited in EcoGnomix. Moreover, we must be careful of unstable terrain that could be a danger to us.
After returning to the surface, we unlock buildings and new character classes, which allows for even more effective expeditions into the depths of the caves.
Graphics
EcoGnomix has colorful graphics reminiscent of board games.
