Ibru is an RPG based on the novel Anna In in the Tombs of the World by Olga Tokarczuk. The Nobel Prize winner was also the game's co-screenwriter. The project was developed by the Polish studio Sundog. Mateusz Blaszczyk was the game's creative director, and Ola Bieluk was responsible for the narration. They previously held these roles at Paradise Lost.
Plot
The action of the game takes place in the world known from the novel which combines old myths with cyberpunk elements. The story begins after the death of Anna In, the incarnation of Inanna (Sumerian goddess of fertility and war). We take on the role of a detective who will try to find her in the world of the dead. Achieving this goal requires help of deities, which won't be easy as these beings are used to following events in a passive way.
Game mechanics
Ibru is an FPP detective RPG. During the game players explore the world, carry out conversations, tasks and investigations. In the game there is no combat.
Players choose between many different character classes, which provide useful talents during investigations. For example, an alchemist can brew potions to increase the hero's perception abilities. There is also a rich selection of skills.
The authors have prepared extensive detective mechanisms, and most cases can be solved in many different ways.

The game offers only single player mode.

Ibru was developed using Unreal Engine 5 technology and Carlos Castanon, known from Metamorphosis, was the game's art director.
