King's Quest VII: The Princeless Bride is the seventh installment in the well-known King’s Quest series. The new adventure starts with princess’ Rosella disappearance when she is sucked into a magical whirlpool. Her mother, queen Valanice, who watched the entire scene, jumps right into the water with no hesitation to help her daughter. She regains consciousness on a desert in another world, far away from any human settlements. The player’s task is to find Rosella before the forces of the dark do.

The game is divided into two parts: three vast levels are played with Valanice, and the next three ones with Rosella. Much like in case of the previous games in the series, the gameplay involves mostly solving puzzles and making our way forward by opening all kinds of secret passages, gates and the like. The items we find can be combined with one another and used to do many things.

Controls of King's Quest VII involve both the keyboard and the mouse. We control the movement of the protagonist with cursors keys and perform the remaining actions with the mouse, e.g. pick up an object, open doors and so on.

The game supports complex 256-colors graphics which makes the game’s environment very detailed.
