Old Skies is a classic adventure game. Game was developed by Wadjet Eye Games studio, known for such titles as Unavowed and Blackwell series.
Plot
Main heroine of the game is Fia Quinn - time agent employed in ChronoZen agency. She is given the task of watching over seven rich tourists who want to visit the past. Some of them just want to see history with their own eyes, while others have different goals. We have to make sure that their journeys take place safely, while also making sure that they don't mess up the timeline.
Game mechanics
Old Skies is a classic adventure game. We explore locations, conduct conversations, collect items and solve puzzles.
The game offers a variety of puzzles, and many of them require from us a clever use of the ability to manipulate time. Interestingly, it is easy to die in the game. However, then we can go back to the past and try a different approach to a given problem.
Old Skies lets us visit seven historical periods, including, among others, times of Prohibition, so called Gilded Age (the 1880s) or the morning of September 11, 2001, and in each of these places different challenges and problems await us.
Game modes
The game features a single player mode only.
Technical aspects
Old Skies offers attractive 2D graphics made, for the first time in the history of games by Wadjet Eye Games studio, in 1920x1080 resolution. Graphics was designed by Ben Chandler, who is well known to the studio's fans (e.g. Unavowed, Shardlight, Technobabylon and The Blackwell Epiphany), and music was composed by Thomas Regin, the author of the soundtracks for Unavowed and the Blackwell series.
