Shadows: Price For Our Sins is a proposal of 8th Floor Games studio addressed to the casual market audience. The production belongs to the popular HOPA genre, combining elements of hidden object games, adventures and logic.

A group of students organize a halloween party on the old farm. While playing, young people accidentally open a portal to the world of darkness, and their souls are imprisoned by a cunning demon. Friends can only be freed by a friend who was late for the party.

The heroine, whose actions are directed by the player, must discover what happened on the farm and find a way to liberate the souls enslaved by the ruler of darkness. The game focuses on exploring the location and solving puzzles based primarily on manipulating elements of the environment and using objects from the equipment window. The creators also took care of a large variety of logical mini-games, which diversify the fun.

Shadows: Price For Our Sins uses a point&click interface, which is perfect for adventures. The level of difficulty of individual puzzles is not exaggerated, and in addition, players can use the system of hints.

The quality of the in-game audiovisual setting does not differ from the standards set by competing productions (e.g. Enigmatis: Ghosts of Maple Creek). Developers used hand-drawn background illustrations with simple animations. Noteworthy are the climatic cut-scenes, illustrating the progress of the plot.
