Shank 2 is the sequel to one of the best independent games of 2010. The developers from the Klei Entertainment studio backed by Electronic Arts (under the EA Partners program) decided to expand the ideas of the original, enriching it with new features, including cooperative game mode.
The main character of Shank 2 is again the former mafia merc who is trying to redeem himself. When danger threatens his loved ones, the killer is not afraid to take up arms and to wreak havoc among his opponents.
The developers stayed true to the concept of a 2D arcade game, rich in spectacular, very bloody fights. The eponymous Shank is fluent in various types of weapons which he finds on his way. The creators made sure that the acrobatic skills of the protagonist, including even spectacular jumping or running up walls, are more awesome.
In addition to the solo game mode, a co-op mode for two players was implemented in Shank 2 where both players must work together in order to survive battles with large hordes of enemies.
