Sker Ritual

Sker Ritual is a co-op FPS which is a spin-off of the survival horror game released in 2020 under the title Maid of Sker. It was developed by Wales Interactive, an indie studio.

Plot

The action of Sker Ritual takes place in the universe created for the game Maid of Sker, inspired by Welsh folklore and stories about the so-called Silent People. We play as brave men who have to face the Silent People.

Game mechanics

In Sker Ritual we observe the action from first person perspective (FPP). We mainly fight hordes of enemies. On our way there are both regular enemies, which elimination is not a big problem, and much more powerful, elite adversaries, requiring to show cunning, close cooperation with the rest of the team, and sometimes also giving up the habits and a complete change of style.

To fill these dark environments with the corpses of defeated opponents, we use a variety of weapons - from cold weapons, through crossbows and grenades, to steampunk firearms. Besides, killing enemies gives us access to Miracles - special perks that strengthen or modify the operation of individual weapons and healing substances. Most important of the Miracles is the "Ultimate" - an ability that requires recharging, the proper use of which can change the fate of many a battle.

We can get the tools of murder and ammunition from The Laughing Policeman, whose stands are located on the maps. As we progress, we not only gain access to more powerful weapons, but also unlock upgrades for already owned guns. In addition, we gain cosmetic accessories in the form of masks inspired by various horror styles - from gothic, through zombie and science fiction.

Game modes

Sker Ritual was designed to be played in co-op mode for four players. However, the game adjusts the difficulty level to the number of players, so there is nothing to stop you from playing in a smaller team or even alone.

Technical aspects

Sker Ritual features high-quality graphics. Opponents, weapons and locations were developed with attention to detail in a dark style.
