Space Prison

Space Prison is a sci-fi tactical RPG. It's the debut game of the Polish studio Wooden Alien, founded by veterans who have previously worked on games such as The Witcher 3 and Dying Light 2.

Plot

The game is set in the far future, aboard the titular max-security AI-managed space prison for the biggest scum in the galaxy.

The player character is one of its freshly incarcerated prisoners. His goal is survival and finding a way out.

Mechanics

Space Prison is an RPG with survival elements. The player explores the world, completes quests, develops their character and fights enemies in turn-based battles.

Before starting the game, we must choose our character. Each playable conflict has different, upgradeable skills, weapons and gear. Establishing relationships with other characters and prison gangs is the key to success, as it lets us slowly climb up the prison society's ranks.

We must also gather crafting resources, create new items and upgrade our cell.

Game modes

The game is only playable in singleplayer.

Technical aspects

The 2D visuals of Space Prison make use of an appealing artstyle reminiscent of comic books.
