Telegraphist 1920: Beats of War is a game made by a small Polish studio Cubepotato Games, which combines simple rhythmic and arcade gameplay with a plot set in the realities of the Battle of Warsaw, thus having educational values. The game was co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

Plot

The independence of the Republic of Poland, regained in 1918, was soon threatened by the Soviet Union. By playing the role of the titular radio operator, who is the link between the command and the soldiers, we learn the history of a key event in the history of the world, which was the defense of Poland against the offensive of the Red Army in 1920. Hence, in Telegraphist 1920: Beats of War, there will be no avoiding dates and names of authentic characters.

Gameplay

The core of the game is a loose simulation of a radio operator's work in the style of a rhythm game, which involves pressing keys at the right moments and for a specified period of time. We are additionally rewarded with points for accuracy. Dynamic gameplay is diversified by the malfunctions of radio stations or the fatigue of the protagonist.

Among the mechanics in Telegraphist 1920: Beats of War, there is also a kind of "combat" system with the commanders of the Soviet troops. We are given the ability to support soldiers by jamming enemy signals or breaking their codes.

In addition to over 20 campaign levels, we can create our own and test your skills in challenges designed by the player community using the built-in editor.
