developer: pank0 publisher: pank0 Official website
Usagi Shima is a 2D recreational game, which we can indulge in at our own pace while enjoying its colorful artstyle and warm color palette. It's inspired by a real place - Okunoshima, an island known for its large bunny population. The game was created and published by a single person - Jess Yu (pank0).
Plot
The player must watch over an abandoned island. As we reconstruct and decorate it, we start attracting curious, charming visitors - bunnies.
Mechanics
The player must renovate the island, building structures, buying toys, decorations and plants. Our renovation attracts various bunnies to the island, with whom we can interact - pet them, brush them, feed them, take photos of them - creating bonds and encouraging them to stay. Satisfied tenants pay us with carrots - the game's currency. The in-game time corresponds to the actual time of day, letting us observe the bunnies during the day and during the night.
Technical aspects
The game runs on the Godot Engine.
