Split Vendetta is the first major expansion to the 2018 installment of the space simulator with elements of economic strategy, titled X4: Foundations. The add-on was developed and published by the creators of the original, studio Egosoft.

Mechanics

X4: Split Vendetta introduces two clans, representing the cruel Split race, which specializes in killing other creatures. Although wouldn't find its representatives in the basic version of the game, they marked its presence in the previous installments of the series. During the game, players can both ally themselves with the new faction for their own benefit (mainly through trading) or engage them in an open conflict.

In addition, the add-on significantly expands the area available for exploration, introducing new ships, weapons and space station modules. All this is complemented by previously unavailable tasks and origins.
