AC: Valhalla is Earning a Lot of Money; Third DLC Inbound

It took less than a year for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla to become the second most profitable game in Ubisoft's history. We also found out when we can expect the third DLC for this game.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • Less than twelve months after release AC: Valhalla has become the second highest grossing game in Ubisoft's history;
  • The game is performing better than AC: Odyssey in every way;
  • The third expansion to AC: Valhalla will be released before March 31, 2022.

Ubisoft company has released a new financial report. It contained information, that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is already the second most profitable game in the publisher's portfolio. This achievement is all the more impressive that the game has managed to do so in less than twelve months after release. Unfortunately, it was not provided which title is the leader in this category.

In the report we can also read, that Assassin's Creed: Valhalla is doing better than Assassin's Creed: Odyssey in every aspect in the analogous time period. First of all, Valhalla generates more revenue per user per day. Ubisoft also highlights record-breaking player activity in The Siege of Paris DLC.

In addition, we found out when we can expect the third expansion. The publisher has announced that it intends to release new content for AC Valhalla before the end of the current fiscal year, that is, by March 31, 2022. As you may remember, the expansion has not yet been officially announced, but rumors suggest that it will be titled Dawn of Ragnarok and will put emphasis on the mythological aspects.

Information about the financial success of the latest installment helps in understanding why Assassin's Creed: Valhalla will be supported longer than AC Odyssey. The latest installment of the series has already received the traditional two expansion packs - Wrath of the Druids debuted in May, followed by The Siege of Paris in August. Normally the support would end there, but the game is doing so well that Ubisoft decided to develop it further. There were even rumors that work on a new expansion delayed the work on the next installment of the series.

AC: Valhalla was released in November last year on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PS5 and Google Stadia.
