Assassin's Creed: Red Received Its Final Title. Official Announcement of Assassin's Creed: Shadows Expected Soon
Assassin's Creed: Shadows - this will be the name of the next installment in the series, which was previously referred to as Red. Ubisoft has announced the presentation of a cinematic trailer for the game.
UPDATE
According to Internet users, under the Italian version of the AC: Shadows trailer, there was for a moment the information: "available from November 15, 2024" (see screenshot below). Assuming that there was no mistake, it seems likely that this Ubisoft game will be released on that day, especially since it is a Friday.
Original news
No longer Red, but Shadows - that's what we will call the upcoming installment of the Assassin’s Creed series from now on, which will be set in feudal Japan. Ubisoft announced the official title of the game and the release date of the cinematic trailer.
The Assassin's Creed: Shadows trailer will appear on May 15 at 9 AM PT. The next trailer will likely be revealed during the Ubisoft Forward event in June. Then the devs can show us the gameplay material that Tom Henderson reported on a few days ago. It's worth mentioning that there have been leaks about the prices of expansions appearing on the internet - there are supposed to be two, allegedly costing around 25 dollars each - or a season pass for the discussed game (supposedly priced at 40 dollars).
Along with the release of this information, the French company also updated the game card in its store with two new graphics. One of them (visible below) contains a series of numbers. Could the official release date be hidden in them?
About three months ago, Ubisoft announced the "release window" in which it planned to release AC: Shadows. It includes the present fiscal year, which spans from April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025.
Looking at the months of premieres of previous "Assassins," the most likely scenario seems to be that Shadows will be released in the fall of 2024. Let's recall that the last four installments of the series, namely Mirage, Valhalla, Odyssey, and Origins, were released in October or November.
Among the developed versions of Assassin’s Creed, there is also a project under the code name Hexe. We recently learned new, unconfirmed details about this game.
