Diablo 4 Players Wanted to Drag Blizzard Through the Mud Again. Luckily, It Was Just an Error in Description of 1.4.1 Update
A change regarding the barbarian in version 1.4.1 confused Diablo 4 players. Fortunately, Blizzard quickly reassured the community, explaining that an error had crept into the description.
Diablo IV's long-awaited 4th season is well underway, and fans of the cult hack'n'slash series are surprisingly positive about it. Only the release of the description of changes planned for the 1.4.1 update caused concern among players due to the weakening of one of the barbarian builds. Fortunately, Blizzard quickly reassured players and clarified that it was just a mistake.
Bash nerfed?
Many new character development methods were introduced in season 4, and one of the more powerful and popular builds for the barbarian is known as the bash barbarian. As the name suggests, it is based on the skill of bash. It is easy to do, enjoyable to play, and we can even defeat Uber bosses with it.
That's why the community didn't like one of the changes that was supposed to appear in version 1.4.1:
- fixed an issue where Barbarian's Bash was dealing multiplicative damage instead of additive damage when combined with the Tempering Affix that causes Bash to cleave.
This caused a significant commotion among fans who had dedicated many hours to refining their character's statistics, and now they were on the verge of losing everything.
This is really not cool... I'm building this build since the beginning of the season.
lol is anyone really surprised that the team at D4 would screw something fun up?
This is an epic disaster.
Fortunately, Diablo 4 Community Manager Adam Fletcher responded quickly and posted an explanation on X. This change involved fixing an error that occurred during the game development, but never actually occurred on the official server. The mention accidentally appeared in the change description (from which it has already been removed), and the bash will continue to work in the same way.
So the panic was extinguished, and all the barbarians went back to hunting monsters. However, if you are curious about all the changes introduced in version 1.4.1, I refer you to this link.
