Enlisted Is Released on Steam for the Second Time, This Time for Free
Gaijin Entertainment studio has brought Enlisted back to Steam. This time, users of the Valve platform can check out this free-to-play title free of charge.
Enlisted returned to Steam after the controversies from March. The game's Steam debut almost 4 months ago turned out to be a false start, and now the second war shooter is available again on Valve's platform.
The developers also released a launch trailer. You can watch the trailer below.
Two problems
When Enlisted first hit Steam, players mainly had comments on two issues. Fortunately, it seems that the devs actually listened to the fans... although they didn't fully solve one problem.
Enlisted is now available for free rather than just as part of a premium package. New paid units have been added to the game, but if someone wants to just check out the game on Steam for now, that option is available.
The issue of connecting Steam and Gaijin accounts in order to transfer game progress was handled slightly worse. This option is active... just that there are two small problems:
- firstly, progression transfer will only be available for a limited time. This is supposed to result from technical problems that were mentioned in March;
- secondly, while many players managed to connect their accounts without any problems, some users are unable to make the transfer if their Steam account was already connected to the Gaijina client via War Thunder. The developers are already working on fixing this glitch (via Reddit).
Encouragement for players
To encourage checking out Enlisted, the developers organized an event that allows you to earn silver for active play. Players can receive 3 thousand units of this currency for participating in a single battle, and they can do this a maximum of three times, allowing them to earn a total of 9 thousand pieces of silver.
Despite the mentioned problems, it seems that this time Enlisted was received much warmer than in March. Players are giving significantly more positive reviews than they were 4 months ago, despite occasional complaints about the increasing amount of premium content.
