Fields of Mistria was released in early access a few days ago. The launch of this title was welcomed warmly by fans of fantasy farming sims like Stardew Valley. FoM has all typical features for the genre – interesting and romanceable characters, enemies, mining, crafting… However, fans would like more functionalities. In one of our articles we presented developers’ point of view on consoles release. Today, let’s talk about multiplayer and coop.

Fields of Mistria (FoM) – Multiplayer and Coop Explained

Many players would like to see multiplayer added to Fields of Mistria. A possibility of a game with friends or even random people is a tempting one for numerous fans. Sadly, it seems that developers do not plan to introduce such feature.

While creators from NPC Studio do not comment the multiplayer mode, the lack of information is also a sign of their intention. Moreover, they do not mentioned coop in their FAQ (official site) or roadmap (Steam).

Implementing multiplayer is not an easy task, but it is possible. The good example of that is Stardew Valley to which developer added coop after 2 years from the original release. So, we can’t cross out the idea that this feature will be added to Fields of Mistria at some point, especially that developers did not officially rule out such possibility.

For now, players can inform developers of their needs. As long as FoM is in early access everything is possible.
