First PTR in History of Diablo 4 Is Now up and Running. Season 4 Is Expected to Be Game-Changing
Diablo 4 is about to look like a brand new game thanks to changes that players can already check out on the first Public Test Realm (PTR) in the game's history.
The Diablo 4 Public Test Realm (PTR) is now available. As promised by the devs, players can now test the extensive changes coming to the Sanctuary in the game's 4th season.
Just to remind you: this is the first occasion when Blizzard Entertainment has chosen to carry out tests before the debut of new features in Diablo 4. Players have been requesting a PTR almost from the beginning of the game's first updates, and these requests have increased with the less than ideal start of Season 3.
We have already mentioned the most important info in the previous news. Blizzard finally prepared an overhaul of the item system (the most commonly criticized aspect of the game) and also implemented substantial changes to class balance, the Helltide event, and numerous other game elements.
That's the theory, but how does PTR fare in the eyes of the players? If judging by the opinions on the internet - very good. Most fans agree that the changes prepared by Blizzard have turned Diablo 4 into a completely new game since the Public Test Server was made available several hours ago. Players appreciated the improvements in the loot system, Helltide (and the Pit of Artificers), as well as the new item crafting system and smaller changes, such as goblins.
Naturally, some internet users are refraining from enthusiasm, and it's understandable after the disastrous beginning of Season of the Construct(and the fact that we had to wait for these significant changes for about 10 months). Nonetheless, it currently seems that the developers will finally deal with the biggest problems of Diablo 4.
The fourth season of D4 will start on May 14.
