First Silent Hill 2 Remake Trailer With Gameplay, but Without a Date
During State of Play we saw a trailer for the upcoming remake of Silent Hill 2, developed by Bloober Team. The footage is short, yet atmospheric.
Today's State of Play featured materials from several upcoming games. Although Sony did not previously mention that among them we would see the remake of Silent Hill 2, there were many rumors circulating online that footage from this horror game would appear during the event.
And so it happened - the official trailer of Silent Hill 2 remake was presented. It is short, but at least we can see some gameplay. You will see the video below.
Unfortunately, we still do not know the exact release date of Silent Hill 2. The game will be released on PlayStation 5 and PC.
Fans of the 2001 original awaiting the remake may feel satisfied with the first State of Play this year. So far, Konami (the publisher) has published only one teaser trailer for the upcoming title. This took place in October 2022, so players had to wait quite a long time for new materials from Silent Hill 2.
For those unfamiliar with the original, we play as James Sunderland. He receives a letter from his wife, Mary, who wants to meet him in Silent Hill. The intrigued protagonist goes to the town despite the fact that his beloved died a few years earlier.
The remake of Silent Hill 2 is being created by the Polish studio Bloober Team, which has experience in games of this type. It developed such horror games as Layers of Fear, The Medium and Blair Witch.
