Forza Horizon 5 Sneaks Cars from Forza Motorsport, Posing as Serious Racing Game. In May It Jumps Into Retrowave
Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport are merging into one with a new update to the former game. Series 33 (Apex All-Stars) introduces 12 race cars to the game, including five free and seven paid.
Fans of the Forza Horizon series frequently talk about the third installment, which, in one of its DLCs, included a collection of "full-fledged" racing cars, led by GT3 class machines. Playground Games studio has decided to embrace this tradition in the latest update for FH5, titled Apex All-Stars, kicking off Series 33.
The developer has prepared many new cars (twelve in total) for players in recent months, with very few other additions. Interestingly, the added vehicles consist exclusively of models that compete on race tracks, and most of these cars - including all the paid ones - have been borrowed from Forza Motorsport.

Here is a list of cars that we will unlock through the Festival Playlist, starting from Thursday:
- 2013 Chevrolet Summit Racing Pro Stock Camaro
- 2016 Ford #66 Ford Racing GT Le Mans
- 2021 Hyundai #98 Bryan Herta Autosport Elantra N
- 2005 Mitsubishi #1 Sierra Sierra Enterprises Lancer Evolution Time Attack
- 2017 Porsche #92 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR
The rest of the trio is a new addition to the series, with Ford and Porsche originating from Forza Motorsport. We have a 1400-horsepower beast designed for 1/4 mile racing (Chevrolet), a precise machine for setting track records (Mitsubishi), and a contemporary TCR touring race car (Hyundai).

Paid cars in DLC Apex All-Stars Car Pack
The new expansion is larger than usual - starting tomorrow, you can purchase a package of seven cars for $9.99.

As I mentioned before, all of these models are from Forza Motorsport - although only two of them are available in the "base game" (BMW and Chevrolet), the rest require purchasing DLC.
The rest of Series 33 and retrowave in Series 34
Besides vehicles, the update offers little more than something for fans of creating routes in the EventLab - 23 new "blocks," which are road sections of various shapes (including turns and hills). Moreover, another car previously classified as "hard to find" will be added to the showroom: the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray. These changes will take effect today.
Fortunately, Playground Games isn't just preparing new cars for next month. In Series 34, set to debut on May 23 as Horizon Retrowave, we'll be treated to additional music through another radio station.
