Game about trains with a release date
Railroads Online developers announced today that the full game will be released this autumn. Furthermore, the title featuring trains in the leading role will also be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles on the same day it leaves early access. After the full version release, the price of Railroads Online will rise from €29.99 to €34.99. However, developers encourage purchasing the game before its premiere, as there is currently a significant discount. Those interested can purchase Railroads Online on Steam for $24.49 (30% cheaper) until July 29 (as part of the ongoing simulator festival).
An important piece of information provided by the developer - the game is largely being developed by a single creator, Stefan Kelnberger - is that concerning the Pioneer set. This DLC will be free for all people who purchased Railroads Online during the early access period. Then you will be able to buy them separately.
Railroads Online - a handful of details
It's worth explaining exactly what the discussed Railroads Online is. In the game, as a "pioneer with ambitions to become a railway tycoon," we traverse a huge open world - the title offers several large maps inspired by the United States - and expand the railway network. We determine the right routes, prepare embankments or junctions, and lay tracks to transport the necessary resources and profit from them. With the money earned, we will buy new machines or upgrade the one we have.
You can get on steam locomotives and drive them, operating the appropriate valves or brakes during the ride, which makes Railroads Online a full-fledged simulator. Specific infrastructure elements need to be built along the constructed routes to supply our machines with fuel, water, or sand.
The multiplayer mode is what makes Railroads Online stand out. Up to 16 people can play on one server to share tasks to improve railway routes.

Railroads Online is very well rated by players. Since its early access debut in 2021, the title has received over 4.5 thousand reviews, with 81% of them being positive. Fans appreciate interesting mechanics, online mode, and regular game updates above all.
As for this last issue - Railroads Online has received many patches introducing new content and fixing specific errors for almost three years. After the premiere of the full version, the game is to be further developed.
