Original news

Sony and Guerrilla Games are heating up the atmosphere ahead of the next week's release of the Burning Shores DLC for Horizon: Forbidden West. After the presentations of extrast added to preorders (if you want to take a closer look at them, here you will find a dedicated video) and Waterwing - mount, on which we will traverse both the depths and the "next-gen" clouds - it's time for another portion of combat.

The less than one-minute trailer (available below) gives a look at the new mechanics. In Horizon: Forbidden West - Burning Shores Aloy will be able to knock down enemies to quickly deal the finishing blow. At least that's how it works with the smaller machines - when fighting the larger ones, this will expose their sensitive point, which you should then shoot with your bow.

We have to admit that the new mechanic is quite impressive. Will it work just as well in action? We'll find out on April 19, when Burning Shores will be released. As a reminder, let me add that it is heading exclusively for PS5, although the base game also came out on PlayStation 4. The expansion will be quite cheap - PS Store has it listed for $19.99.
