In Lightyear Frontier you pilot a mech, killing machine with enormous firepower. However, you will use it to grow your food, gather resources and clean the planet, not to fight. There are no enemies in the game besides weeds and strange stains on the ground. However, there are various types of “bullets” nonetheless. We are talking about seeds. Let’s learn how to “reload”.

How to Change Seeds in Lightyear Frontier

As it was mentioned, in Lightyear Frontier you pilot a mech, but this killing machine is changed into a farming companion. However, when we look at the tools which are in the possession of your mechanical suit, there is a trace of its combat past. For example, you can shoot seeds like bullets. Of course, you can reload your “guns” with different “ammo”. However, it is not so straightforward how to do it. Let’s look at it.

If you want to pick different seeds than the default one, it is quite simple, if you know what to do. First of all, press and hold Q on a keyboard or Left Bumper on your controller. It will open a wheel menu. While still pressing the button, navigate to the proper “gun”. Once there, press E or R (keyboard) / Directional pad (D-pad / gamepad) to change seeds.
