Solo: A Star Wars Story could have been the beginning of a new series of movies in this cosmic universe, however, it wasnt successful, thus closing some doors not only for Lucasfilm, but also for actors. In this production, an attempt was made to change the actor of a famous character from the Star Wars universe, and thus Alden Ehrenreich replaced Harrison Ford as the young Han Solo. Unfortunately, it seems that due to the failure of this production, Disney and Lucasfilm backed away from the idea of recasting and thus, for example, in The Mandalorian we got a digitally de-aged Mark Hamill as a young Luke Skywalker.

However, not everyone believes that Han Solo's story should be abandoned after this one failure. There were many viewers who were won over by Alden Ehrenreich as the famous smuggler and would like to see more of his adventures on the big screen in this role. As such, many people got excited when the trailer for Solo 2: A Star Wars Story hit the Internet, which you can watch below.

Unfortunately, it is not real. It's a fan-made project made by the author of the Darth Trailer channel. Lucasfilm and Disney have no plans to make a Solo 2: A Star Wars Story movie, despite the fact that there are many people who would like to see it, as can be seen for example in the comments under the trailer from Darth Trailer. So fans shouldn't get their hopes up, because after the first installment achieved poor results, it's doubtful that they will decide to invest in a sequel.

Especially since it looks like they have managed to change their strategy regarding Star Wars and they are going in a different direction with it, with completely different projects planned, such as The Mandalorian and Grogu and The New Jedi Order, in which Rey will return.
