Dev Created the Most Important Jagged Alliance 3 Mod; Shows Hit Chance
One of the developers of Jagged Alliance 3 listened to player requests and released a modification that enables you to preview the percentage chances of hitting a target.
The day before yesterday, Jagged Alliance 3, a continuation of the iconic series of tactical turn-based games, debuted on the market. The title turned out to be excellent - it's the first worthy representative of the brand since JA2. However, not everything is perfect in it.
One of the elements that players complain about the most is the lack of an option to display the chance to hit the enemy. The randomness of this element has long annoyed many fans of turn-based strategies, and the fact that in JA3 you can't even preview the percentage, is all the more annoying for a large part of the players. Now this problem has been solved with the modification called ShowChanceToHit. Interestingly, it was made by one of the game's developers.
One may ask why this option had to be added via a mod and not in an update. This is due to the fact that Jagged Alliance 3 was designed with the lack of visibility of percentages in mind. In the mods description you can read that installing it changes the balance of gameplay and makes it more like a puzzle game than a tactical game. On top of that, the artificial intelligence has been developed in such a way that it assumes that the player does not have this information, and this does not change after installing the mod.
Recall that Jagged Alliance 3 was released on July 14 and is available exclusively on PC.
The game met with a warm reception. On Metacritic the game has an average rating of 82%. Equally enthusiastically Jagged Alliance 3 was received by gamers - on Steam 80% of user reviews praise this project..
