Praised Strategy Game With New Update, Discount and Popularity Surge
Strategy Kingdoms and Castles is experiencing a second youth on Steam. This is thanks to, among other things, an attractive discount.
Steam is currently experiencing a small renaissance among Kingdoms and Castles players. It's a lovely strategy game about building medieval towns, developed by Lion Shield, a studio founded by Maxis veterans.
- The number of players on Steam has shot up in recent days - yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, 2,696 users played the game simultaneously. In contrast, at the beginning of June, the daily records were around 200 players. So the increase in interest is clear.
- There are two reasons for this renaissance. First, on Steam has organized a discount, which enables you to purchase the game for around $7. The offer will remain valid until June 29.
- Secondly, Lion Shield is currently on a roll following the announcement of the team's next game at the PC Gaming Show event - Nova Roma. This is also a city-builder strategy, but set in the realities of the Roman Empire. The unveiling of this project sparked a lot of interest, so it's no surprise that many players decided to check out the developer's previous title.
- Kingdoms and Castles is also helped by the fact that it's simply a great strategy game. On Steam, 92 percent of player reviews praise this game, which is categorized as a "very positive" reception. So when someone hits the tab for this item in the store, encouraged by a promotion or the announcement of Nova Roma, and sees all this admiration from other users, it is not difficult to be convinced to give this project a chance.
Recall that Kingdoms and Castles is available exclusively on PC.
The game was released in July 2017. It lived to see only one DLC in the form of last year's Parks & Statues, which has also now been discounted and can be purchased for $1 until June 29.
Since its release, the game has regularly received updates. The latest, titled Infrastructure & Industry, was released a few days ago and focuses on expanding the mechanics regarding building and the economy.
