Last Epoch 1.0 - Can You Transfer Offline Character to Online Mode?
Check our guide to know if you can switch your character between offline and online mode in Last Epoch after its full release.
Last Epoch is a time-traveling hack and slash action RPG. The game features deep character customization with over a hundred transformative skills, challenging gameplay mechanics, and a rich narrative. Players explore diverse environments, battle hordes of enemies, and uncover the mysteries of the past to shape the future. After almost five years in early access, Last Epoch was officially released on February 21st, 2024. If you’re also wondering if it’s possible to transfer your character between offline and online mode, here’s everything you need to know.
Can I transfer Offline Character to Online Mode in Last Epoch
Many Last Epoch players enjoy the multiplayer experience, but concerns about server stability, particularly after 1.0 launch issues, have led some to stick with offline characters. Of course, some them would like to play online at some point, so the question remains: can offline adventure join the online mode?
Unfortunately, you cannot transfer an offline character to online mode in Last Epoch. Offline characters are saved locally on your PC, while online characters are stored on the game’s servers. This difference in structure makes direct transfer impossible. Allowing easy movement between modes could open doors for potential cheating and exploiting the game’s systems.
While many players would love the option to transition characters, Eleventh Hour Games has not officially confirmed if this feature will be added to the game. At this time, players will need to create a new character, if they want to play the game in different mode.
