No Rest For the Wicked - Multiplayer and Coop on Launch Explained
Soon, we will be able to enjoy No Rest for the Wicked as it will enter Early Access. If you are wondering if multiplayer and coop will be available on launch, here you will find the answer.
Moon Studios takes their time when it comes to game development. So far, their only two productions are very well received metroidvanias featuring a cute creature called Ori. This time, however, they offer us a journey through a lot darker world, ridden with Pestilence that reoccurred on an island known as Isola Sacra. No Rest for the Wicked promises us a mix of Diablo with soulslike titles. As tasty as this cocktail may be, drinking it with friends is always better than alone. Wicked will be making its debut in Early Access program first, which means that not all features will be implemented, so let’s find out if you will be able to enjoy multiplayer and coop aspect of this title on launch.
Multiplayer and coop in No Rest for the Wicked on launch
No Rest for the Wicked draws attention thanks to its original painting-like graphics that Moon Studios is known for. Instead of cute critters, their new production hits darker tones than usual with more demanding gameplay. It is not surprising that bringing friends along the way can be immeasurable help. As the title will make its initial release in Early Access program, it means that it won’t be feature complete at launch.
Unfortunately, multiplayer is one of the game’s components that we won’t be able to enjoy when it becomes available in EA. Indeed, Wicked’s Steam page initially showed a multiplayer option, yet it was removed later on. This is directly related to a roadmap that the studio shared. You can find it below:
As presented in the picture above, there is no concrete date when the Update 1 with multiplayer component will arrive. Additionally, the developer did not share any details on how long the game is planned to remain in Early Access. These further obscures the approximate date when the first big update will happen. We can assume that after the game becomes available, the next feature that the creators will focus on will be multiplayer. Till then, you will be able to explore nooks and crannies of Isola Sacra on your own, to be a guide for your friends later.
