Transmuters are mysterious machines scattered throughout the Olympic Exclusion Zone in Pacific Drive. They are a useful tool for surviving the dangerous world, enhancing your ability to repair and upgrade your vehicle. Find out how to utilize a transmuter, and where to find these devices.

How to use a Transmuter in Pacific Drive

Transmuters are special devices in Pacific Drive that allow you to convert one type of resource into another. They can transform common materials that are less useful into something more valuable.

Each transmuter is different. You may find one that transforms gears into gas cylinders, and another that converts prybars into lead platelets. On the front panel of a transmuter, you’ll notice two icons illustrating the input and output options available.

Before interacting with the machine, check also the pie chart. It represents how many transformations remain before the transmuter is depleted. Unfortunately, there’s no indication of how many things you need to put in to make the conversion. This is a trial and error process. Generally, successful trades often require at least two or three units of the input resource. If you don’t put enough items, the transmuter will spit them back out.

Where to find Transmuter in Pacific Drive

Finding transmuters is quite straightforward. They are usually found inside abandoned ARDA Corporation buildings. Look for radio towers especially, as it is your best bet.
