Paradox Reveals Starminer; Eye-catching Space Mining Simulator
Starminer (formerly ILL Space) is a new game in the Paradox Arc catalog. The space mining simulator from CoolandGoodGames is heading to early access.
Novelties from Colossal Order we will have to wait, but publisher of Cities: Skylines 2 is by no means holding back on news until this games is fixed. Paradox Interactive has announced Starminer - a space mining simulator.
Although the game's title is new, its development has been known about for quite some time. So far, this debut project of CoolAndGoodGames was known as ILL Space, and for a short time players could test it as part of an early access demo. Today the team announced a partnership with Paradox Arc - a division of Paradox focused on supporting promising projects from small developers.
"First" trailer of Starminer can be watched below.
- Starminer on Steam
The developers describe their creation as "a realistic simulator of base building in space".
- The game will take place in real time, with players guiding a giant warship between asteroids, acquiring resources, conducting research to increase mining efficiency and taking on missions as mercenaries for hire.
- As the venture expands, the "heat signature" of the player's fleet will grow, leading at some point to a clash with aliens, which will have to defeat with the help of self-designed units.
The developer published a post on Steam, in which he not only announced the name change and the cooperation with a publisher, but also shared additional details about the game and its future. About the latter, we learned only that the developers will continue to put the community's comments first (for the collection of which a separate tool available from within the game was prepared).
Starminer will hit early access on PC in 2024.
