There is chivalry in every one of us, at least most of us would like to think so. Even though the times of sword and shield are long over, there is still something that calls us to that era causing an immense longing and a feeling of odd nostalgia. This sentiment is reflected in how many games are released, which are set in worlds heavily inspired by the Middle Ages. Only recently we have seen titles like Bellwright or Manor Lords entering Early Access, and now to this roster joins another, more rooted in fantasy, Pax Dei. Since its creative director is Reynir Hardarson (EVE Online), we can expect a great MMO experience, where players themselves are the source of stories and quests. Obviously, the more, the merrier, so let’s see what are the developers’ plans of releasing this production on more platforms like PS4, PS5, Xbox, or Switch.

Pax Dei console release (PS4, PS5, Xbox, Switch)

In one of the FAQ messages on Pax Dei’s official Discord Server, we can read the following statement:

The game is built for PC and is in development for cloud gaming platforms, to become playable on any screen. We’ll share news on the full list of platforms at a later date […]

We can see that the creators are open for as many players as possible, yet they would like to polish their game more on one, main, platform to bring the title to the wider audience later on.

On the Steam page of Pax Dei, we can see information that the production is still “heavily in development”, which is most probably the reason why the devs decided to launch it in EA first. Since this stage is planned till at least June 2025, we can expect that more devices will welcome this title on their drives closer to this date. However, keep in mind that developers did not mention consoles specifically, but “cloud gaming”. So, we may probably expect the title on GeForce now and maybe more.

It is a good idea to keep your eyes on the previously mentioned Discord Server, where more news will be published. Additionally, it is a great opportunity to share your feedback with the team from Mainframe Industries. If there is high enough demand for console release, we can imagine that they will consider it.
