If They're Being Made, RDR1 and GTA 4 Remasters Could Launch Within Months
Official documents from Take-Two Interactive suggest that refreshed, yet still undisclosed, versions of Red Dead Redemption and GTA 4 could be released within a few months.
There are many indications that the remaster of Red Dead Redemption (and possibly GTA 4) - which has recently become a hot topic - is indeed being developed and will debut as early as in the next few months.
The source of these revelations is, surprisingly, not an anonymous source, but an official document of Take-Two Interactive, the company that publishes Rockstar Games titles.
The released letter states that by the end of the ongoing fiscal year - that is, March 31, 2024. - Take-Two has plans to release 16 games, among which, most importantly, will be refreshed versions of two previously released games...
Of course, the company is not only publishing Rockstar's works. However, as noted on Twitter by acclaimed game journalist Ben Turpin, no other publisher's development studios have yet announced remasters of their games.
In turn, such recent circumstantial evidence as the first RDR receiving a new age rating in South Korea or the words of former IGN editor Colin Moriarty, according to whom the announcement of a refreshed Red Dead Redemption could come as early as August.
It is worth noting that GTA IV celebrated its 15th birthday this year, Red Dead Redemption its 13th, and RDR2 will soon become five years old. The remasters in question would therefore be a great way for Rockstar to properly celebrate these anniversaries.
