Spectre Divide, a new free to play shooter is here. Thousands of people decided to give this game a chance. However, for now it is available on PC only. Of course, the gaming world is constructed out of more platforms than computers. Many console players would like to test the game themselves. Is it possible? Let’s find out.

Spectre Divide – Console (Xbox, PS5, PS4) Release

If you want to play Spectre Divide on consoles, you will have to wait a little bit. And by “little bit”, we mean it is hard to estimate how long. Developers have announced in FAQ on official Discord that console versions are planned after the PC release – which is today. We don’t know which platforms will get ports, though.

Will there be console versions or controller support?

We'll be PC-only at launch, but console versions and controller support are both planned for post-launch.

So, when should we expect consoles? It is hard to tell. While the gamer is available as we speak, developers did not drop new information in this case. However, it is a matter of time. Of course, appearance of ports will probably depend on the popularity and optimalization on computers. In the most pessimistic scenario, we may wait years. Let’s hope that it will not be the case here, as developers will probably want to gather as large playerbase as they can on various platforms and time will be of the essence.

For now, it is the best to follow game’s social media and forums to read all news from developers.
