Warhammer: Age of Sigmar RTS Boasts Revolutionary Map Editor
After modest beta testing, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar - Realms of Ruin shows off its charms in a new trailer, including game modes, army painter and a „revolutionary” map editor.
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin was presented in a new gameplay trailer. Frontier Developments discussed the most important elements of its real-time strategy, also in an entry posted on Steam. You can watch the material below.
After testing so far, the developers had - according to the players - a lot of room for improvement, although they stressed that the beta was only a modest sample of what Realms of Ruin is to be.
- Arguably, that's why the new trailer showcases everything the game will have to offer, from a "cinematic campaign" for single-player (prepared with writer Gavin Thorp), to a Conquest mode full of random challenges and cross-platform online options (including co-op), to an army painter (so called Army Livery) and a "revolutionary" map editor, which was given the most time in the trailer.
- It was not specified in what exactly the breakthrough of the latter will manifest itself, but it was assured that the same tool was used by the developers to create the game's maps. So we can count on rich editing options, including biomes (main and sub-biomes), as well as terrain type and shape (which, by the way, we will be able to modify and paint on your own, as can be seen in the new video).
- Speaking of editing, Realms of Ruin will also enable us to create our own scenes in the game. The tool will enable us to determine the environment, characters and their poses to create striking images (if only for a YouTube video thumbnail).
Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Realms of Ruin will be released on November 17. The game is headed not only for PC, but also PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles.
