Resident Evil 3 Guide

Nemesis strikes back Secrets, puzzles and walkthrough - the Resident Evil 3 Remake guide is all about this third-person action PS4, Xone and PC game.

Last update: 07 April 2023

This unofficial guide for Resident Evil 3 Remake can be treated as a complete survival guide helpful in completing the game and discovering all its secrets. The RE3 remake includes many stages and battles similar to those found in the original version from 1999. However, it also offers completely new scenes, locations, and items. As a result, the guide should be useful not only for those who haven't played the original game but also for experienced players who have completed Resident Evil 3 Nemesis.

On the first pages of our guide, you will find a guide to the game, which also serves as a survival guide. We have prepared an extensive chapter called starting tips, in which you will find various tips and tricks useful during the first hours of the game. The main topics regarding the gameplay and survival mechanics are described on separate pages in the FAQ section - you can learn, for example, how to avoid Nemesis, is it possible to beat Nemesis, how to save the game, are there any safe locations in the game, how to increase the inventory capacity, how to find the best weapons, how to heal the character, how long is the game, what to do with unwanted items, or how to improve the equipment. The guide also includes a trophy guide with detailed descriptions of all trophies/achievements, as well as pages about the controls and system requirements of Resident Evil 3 Remake.

Our detailed walkthrough for RE3 Remake is one of the biggest chapters. You will find information about how to complete the mission objectives, how to travel between the main locations, and how to defeat or avoid opponents. Our walkthrough includes maps of the locations and also pays great attention to puzzle solutions and strategies for the boss fights. Another large chapter is dedicated to secrets/collectibles. There you will learn where you can find various secret objects - new weapons, keys, quest items, combinations for safes and cabinets, or weapon upgrades. With our guide, you will find 100% of the secrets.

The last chapter of our guide focuses on Resident Evil Resistance, which is the multiplayer mode of Resident Evil 3 Remake, in which four players try to escape from the Umbrella Corp. labs. The task of the fifth player is to prevent them from completing this plan. We have prepared various hints for playing as the so-called Mastermind, and also as one of the characters defending themselves from zombie attacks.

Resident Evil 3 Remake is based on the very popular survival horror Resident Evil 3 Nemesis, which debuted in 1999 on PlayStation. The remake is not a 1:1 copy of the original game. Some events and mechanics are close, but there is also a lot of new features. The game, of course, is fully adapted to modern standards - the action is observed from the third-person perspective, and the playable characters have a rich set of moves that help you stay alive. The ruthless and powerful Nemesis returns in Resident Evil 3 Remake. The main antagonist plays the same role as he did in the original - Nemesis preys on members of the S.T.A.R.S. team throughout the game. The remake gave him a few completely new moves and items.

Why does Jill look different from the original?

This is a deliberate action by the games developers - Resident Evil 3 Guide

This is a deliberate action by the game's developers. This is mainly due to the fact that the original version of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis was released on a much more limited hardware-wise platform. Therefore, it wasn't possible to create a high-quality model of Jill Valentine. It had to be greatly simplified.

Jill's character model in the RE3 remake has been made from scratch. Her face was modeled after Sasha Zotova, although her image served more as a "prototype" - a starting point. The authors then made a number of corrections and changes according to their own artistic vision of Jill's appearance in the game.

It is worth noting that Jill isn't the only character from RE3 whose appearance has changed since the original version of the game. Major appearance changes have also been made in Carlos's model (he is the second playable character) and Nemesis himself - the main antagonist in Resident Evil 3.

Does Carlos have his own scenario?

This is not possible during the campaign - Resident Evil 3 Guide

Is it possible to stop Nemesis from appearing?

This isn't possible - the controlled character being chased by Nemesis is an integral part of the game. This means that both of these productions share some elements with each other, and this applies, among other things, to the character models of the selected zombies. Fortunately, many elements in RE3 are brand new - the heroes, for example, visit completely new places and fight new variations of opponents (including Nemesis). Resident Evil 3 Remake also introduces a new online mode called Resistance.

No, the gameplay is presented from the third-person perspective - Resident Evil 3 Guide

No, the gameplay is presented from the third-person perspective. Thus, the camera is placed behind the hero and moves with them. The game doesn't have the "static" cameras that were present in the original version of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis.
